Item Description
This bulb will replace all bulbs used in reader-heads pictured but not included in the sale.
The old style bulbs look like balloons and are pictured in the first 3 pictures.
The old style bulbs are the low amplitude bulbs and can be emulated by cutting the shorting strip across the resistor which brings down the amplitude of the new bulb.
Old style bulbs came with quick connectors that caused problems in many systems.
New style bulbs can be soldered onto the board or spliced into original wiring since voltage carried is less than 5 volts DC.
Either wire can be used for ground or 5 volts DC.
When replacing bulbs please do not remove the reader-head from the CMM since it is critically aligned with an scope procedure that we can send you.
