Item Description
Renishaw OMP40-2 Probe, HSK A40 Shank & M4 6MM Ruby Tip, 50MM Ceramic Stem Styli - Display Model with 6 Month Warranty.
* Performance specification is tested at a standard test velocity of 480 mm/min (18.9 in/min) with a 50 mm stylus. Significantly higher velocity ispossible depending on application requirements.
* Trigger force, which is critical in some applications, is the force exerted on the component by the stylus when the probe triggers. The maximum force applied will occur after the trigger point (overtravel). The force value depends on related variables, including measuring speed and machine deceleration.
* These are the factory settings; manual adjustment is not possible.

Straight styli are designed to inspect simple features where direct, unobstructed contact with a measured surface is possible. A ceramic stem is lightweight yet very stiff and offers built-in crash protection. Ruby is regarded as the industry standard for stylus tips. It is one of the hardest materials available and suitable for most applications. Due to adhesive pickup, ruby tips are not recommended for scanning aluminium parts. Equivalent to Q-Mark part number: TM4-6053-C.
