RMP40 Radio Transmission Probe
For workpiece inspection and job set-up on machining centers and multi-tasking machines. Smallest frequency hopping radio spindle. The RMP40 is the smallest frequency hopping radio spindle probe in the world. Operating within the globally recognised 2.4 GHz ISM band, the RMP40 is suited for operation on machines of all sizes. The robust transmission protocol and small body make the RMP40 the ideal choice for multi-tasking applications where the line-of-sight between probe and interface cannot always be maintained.
Performance specification is tested at a standard test velocity of 480 mm/min (18.9 in/min) with a 50 mm stylus. Significantly higher velocity is possible depending on application requirements.
Trigger force, which is critical in some applications, is the force exerted on the component by the stylus when the probe triggers. The maximum force applied will occur after the trigger point (overtravel). The force value depends on related variables including measuring speed, machine deceleration and latency. These are the factory settings, manual adjustment is not possible.

This shank is designed to secure the probe into a BT ISO 40 taper machine tool spindle. Shank gauge length is 32.00 mm (1.260 inches), and it is suitable for OMP40, OMP400, RMP40 probes.
